Best Poster Awards

The best graduate student poster award went to Jaya Kawale, CS&E Dept, University of Minnesota for her poster on "A Graph Based Approach to Find Teleconnections in Climate Data". The second place went ex-aequo to Vanja Paunic, CS&E Dept, University of Minnesota for her poster on "Discovery of Higher Level Structures from Biomarkers" and to Puja Das, CS&E Dept, University of Minnesota for her poster on "Discovery of Higher Level Structures from Biomarkers".

The best undergraduate student poster award went to Cecylia Bocovich, Macalester College for her poster on "Parallelizing a Lattice Reduction Algorithm on a GPU.  The second place went to Maura Warner, Macalester Collge, for her poster on "Clusters in Computer Labs: The Effect of a Virtual Cluster on the Performance of the Physical Host Machines".

Congratulations to the winners and all the students who participated in the poster session.

January 30 - registration at early registration fee ($30). The fee will increase to $35 after January 30. January 30 - application for scholarships for hotel. No hotel space can be guaranteed after the deadline.
